About Maggie Benner

I’m Maggie Benner, an artist and micro flower farmer located just outside of Indianapolis. I am originally from North Carolina and have lived in several states in the last 10 years each place quietly weaving its way into my soul.

Art has been my first love since childhood, but it became especially meaningful as I moved from home to home. I wanted to look around my home and see art that brings me back to a trip I once took, a place I lived, or even a favorite coffee shop that I frequented with my husband. I began creating art for myself and over time that organically grew into creating art that creates the same warm feelings for others. 

Flower farming grew out of that same creative instinct. When my children were young and I had little time for traditional studio work as a stay at home mom. Growing cut flowers became a way to play with color, texture, and composition while still including my kids in the process. The garden became a creative outlet that continues to influence my art currently. I have found so much joy in being able to express myself and share that with others through paint or petals.
